Fantastic base with amazing views, lots to do around the area in all weathers. Fantastic new sauna on the beach below! Beautiful part of the country we love to visit and this home makes it so easy. Hopefully be back again some time next year.

A wonderful time was had by all. The home is fantastic. We couldn’t ask for anything more. Daily beach trips and wonderful breakfast and dinners. Who knew a curry pasty could be so divine! This is our second visit and we will come again!

This was our second time staying at Del Mar and once again we had a great time. The house had great views and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had a great time trying all the different restaurants and would definitely recommend The Hub for a burger, The West Grill for Greek food and The Portminster Kitchen for a Sunday roast. Throughout the week we spent a lot of time walking the dogs along the beaches and would definitely recommend going to Gwithian beach. The Kabyn Café on Gwithian beach also has the best hot chocolate and lovely food. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We have had a wonderful time! Such a lovely house with fab views. Away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to town. A perfect home from home. Lots of good restaurants and very friendly staff. We will be taking away some great memories. Thank you!

This is our first stay here and we’ve loved every second! This view is enchanting and loved the telescope at the top! Brilliant spot and nice shortcut down to Portminsteer. Lovely and clean, great food recommendations and extremely dog friendly. Everything was homely and comfortable. Thank you.

We have had another wonderful stay at Del Mar. We relax as soon as we come through the front door. The weather has been mixed but typically Cornish. Mizzly and drizzly one minute, wait 5 minutes and the sun comes out! This house is so welcoming and comfortable and we’ll never tire of the view.

This is us returning, we were here 2 years ago and I can truthfully say this beautiful house is as impressive today as it was then. The owners have thought if everything to make our holiday a memorable one, from the comfortable beds to the fantastic views from the balconies and WE HAD SUNSHINE!!

We’re back! Second time at the ranch and unlike that difficult second album, “Del Mar the Return” came back with a roar! This house is just so welcoming, the town has such a fun vibe, and the beaches as always did not let the Cornish reputation down. Can’t wait for round 3! ps Never trust the weather forecast - it was meant to be overcast and the sun shone all weekend! 😊

We wish we could stay longer! The house is fabulous and the view is beautiful. Lovely to sit on the balcony and enjoy breakfast. Every possible thing has been thought about. The room layout is good because the upper floor gives privacy to the grandparents, whilst the rest of the family is on the bottom floor. The Hub was a good venue for drinks and food plus people watching. Beware of the seagulls if you have food! The path at the left of the property is a short cut down to Porthminster beach. The coastal path is a lovely walk but if you want to come back to St Ives on the train, beware of the train times and stops. If you go out in the car to visit places it is worth checking what parking app is used to pay for parking or check before you go! Thank you Del Mar, recommendations on the board are spot on! Fabulous house, well kitted out with plenty of crockery, something not all holiday lets have, lots of little things around the house too, love the notes and labels! Great suggestions, we tried the pizza at Host, delicious Cajun chicken ciabatta at Kabyn Café on the beach at Gwithian – windy day but lovely beach to visit plus lovely food, even seen a couple of seals! Best coffee I’ve had in a while from Yallah Café. Morning swims in the sea, a bit chilly but very refreshing. A fantastic find and will definitely be coming back in the future, love it here. We adore St Ives and have stayed here many times, but this has been the best holiday home we have stayed in. The weather was due to be poor all week, but we had brilliant sunshine for the second half which was fabulous, especially with the food festival on. I echo previous guest sentiments – thank you for being dog friendly! Would absolutely stay again! Thank you.

We are an ExPat family now living in England. We are loving this home, the area & the sea. We have made so many family memories over the last few days. We all slept amazing too! Thank you for being dog friendly too! Gus loved being at the sea! We will hopefully be back one day & would stay here every time!

What an amazing few days in a beautiful home. I honestly don’t think we could’ve asked for any more from the trip. We may’ve been lucky with the weather but the house, the hospitality and the memories we’ve been able to create were in no small part down to the wonderful hosts and how well looked after we felt. Another wonderful week spent at Del Mar enjoying all that this lovely place of Cornwall has to offer. Good food and bracing walks along the beaches. We counted 40 seals on the beach at Godrevy Head and watched the Choughs flying at Lizard Point. We will be back as soon as we can.
