Meet the team

Louise – Director

Along with her husband John, Louise started Cornish Escapes over ten years ago, when it was lovingly known as Escape to St Ives.  Still very much leading from the front, Louise is always available to guide the Cornish Escapes Team to ensure smooth sailing for guests and Owners alike.

A proud Mum of two, Louise loves nothing more than time with her family, whether that be meals out at local favorite restaurants or family trips to Orlando, Florida.

When it comes to her hometown, Louise says “St Ives is a must for art lovers.  If you get a chance, take in an exhibition at the Tate and visit the home and gardens of renowned sculptor Barbara Hepworth.”

John – Director

John is the analytical mind of Cornish Escapes, looking after all of the important behind the scenes jobs that keep a business running.

In his spare time, John enjoys playing football come rain or shine and is the a fountain of knowledge when it comes to films and music.  He’s the one you want on your quiz team!

If you are visiting Padstow, John recommends popping in to meet the baby lobsters at the National Lobster Hatchery.  Follow your visit up with lunch at one of Rick Stein’s many popular eateries in town.

Chloe – Handpicked Cottages

Chloe is excited to have recently joined the family business and heads up our Sister Company ‘Handpicked Cottages’, looking after all aspects of the daily running of the business and marketing.

Chloe recommends Falmouth for a day out discovering the unique arty town full of independant boutiques, galleries and restuarants.

Meg – Business Manager

Meg works closely with Louise and John as their Business Manager, looking after the day to day running of the business, our Owners and the integration of new holiday homes.

Meg’s childhood vacations were filled with memories of Cornwall, she took the plunge and relocated from Winchester a decade ago and is now happily married to a “Cornish boy”.  In her free time she loves nothing more than curling up on the sofa with a good book and her trusty whippet, Legs.

When visiting Cornwall, Meg recommends starting your day with brunch at Slice of Cornwall and then taking the family to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek.  What is better than spending the day with seal pups and otters?

Josh – Business Project Manager

Josh brings years of experience in the holiday industry to Cornish Escapes.  As well as coordinating many projects including data analytics, website upgrades and marketing campaigns, Josh’s keen eye for detail and analytical mind ensure Cornish Escapes stays at the forefront of the industry.

Having transitioned from bustling city life to the idyllic Cornish coast in his late teens, Josh enjoys exploring the West Country’s diverse landscapes, from dramatic coastlines to rolling hills and charming villages.

For nature enthusiasts, Josh highly recommends Watergate Bay. Lace up your walking boots and embark on captivating coastal walks, breathing in the  sea air and soaking in panoramic vistas. While some paths can be hilly, the breathtaking scenery is undoubtedly worth the effort.

Vicky – Finance Controller

Vicky has a supporting role behind the scenes controlling the finances and ensuring that Owners and suppliers are paid on time.

Vicky first joined Cornish Escapes in our Administration department before taking some time away to expand her family with the addition of her beautiful baby boy.
