Relaxing Spa Days – and Stays – in Cornwall
Escape to Cornwall for some rest and relaxation – and what better way to unwind than with time spent at a Cornish spa?
There is a choice of lovely spas in Cornwall, and some of our holiday properties even come with their own private hot tub or sauna. Here’s the Cornish Escapes guide to planning your relaxing spa break in Cornwall.
Spas to Visit in Cornwall
From the modern elegance of C Bay Spa in Carbis Bay to the geothermal waters of the 1930s’ Jubilee Pool, Cornwall has a varied selection of places for your relaxing day out.
The AquaClub at the Headland Hotel in Newquay is the last word in aquatic luxury – the Sunset Spa and Edge Pool really is something to experience. Guests also love the candlelit copper pool at The Scarlet. We have put together a guide to our favourite spas in Cornwall, all of which welcome non-residents – see which unique place most appeals to you.

Stay in a Cornish Spa Resort
Spa complexes are often connected to hotels; however, here at Cornish Escapes you can enjoy the extra space of luxury self-catering accommodation while having spa facilities close at hand. Una Resort in Carbis Bay near St Ives is a modern, purpose-built spa, which has recently added a gorgeous lido to its suite of pools.
64 Una is a contemporary-style lodge with an eco-friendly design, set in the grounds of Una Resort. The light and airy house comes with family passes to the spa and leisure facilities – the perfect way to relax on your Cornish holiday.

Cornish Escapes Properties with Hot Tubs
If you want spa facilities even closer to home, you can book a break in one of our hot tub properties. These luxurious holiday lets each have their own private hot tub – just what you need after a day on the beach or walking the South West Coast Path.
Take a look at Island Wastrel, a private retreat close to Porthgwidden Beach in St Ives. There is a comfy seating and dining area next to the hot tub, creating your own relaxing haven in the centre of the town. Just outside St Ives in Carbis Bay, Solstice is a modern holiday home with a large hot tub. The built-in tub has an awning for shade and is surrounded by elegant planting and comfortable seats.

Relax in your Own Sauna
A sauna is a wonderful way to unwind and de-stress, while relaxing your muscles and making your skin glow. If you prefer a sauna to a hot tub, take a look at Am Meer, a luxury holiday let in St Ives. Its beautifully appointed garden sauna seats two and afterwards, there’s an invigorating outdoor shower (this is also super-handy after a day on the beach). Trehayes Haven, also in St Ives, has a private sauna in the comfort of one of the bathrooms.
You will find saunas and steam rooms in most of the spa resorts we’ve mentioned above; however, our favourite remains the wood-fired sauna on Hayle Estuary, which is handily close to Gilbert’s Bar.

Holiday Properties with Spa Passes Included
Some of our holiday homes come with spa passes included. Number One Peninsula has a lovely St Ives location, close to the Harbour Hotel. Our guests receive a pass for two people to use the hotel pool, spa and gym during their stay.
Jack’s Corner and Coastguard House, both with glorious views across Porthminster Beach, also come with passes for two for the Harbour Hotel facilities. Guests at all three properties will receive a 20% discount off spa treatments at the hotel as an extra-special holiday treat.
