About Cornish Escapes

We are a family-run holiday letting agency, based in St Ives.  We started out over a decade ago, under our original name of ‘Escape to St Ives’.  As we began to expand into other lovely Cornish towns and villages, we changed our name to ‘Cornish Escapes’.

Today, we have a large portfolio of holiday cottages, houses and apartments in Mount’s Bay, Hayle, Newquay and Padstow as well as St Ives, Carbis Bay and Lelant.

Our team is small enough to offer that friendly and personal service, but large enough to cater for everything you need, from sales to maintenance. Our founders, Louise and John, have over two decades’ experience in Cornish tourism and many of the team have been part of the Cornish Escapes’ family for many years.

We understand that managing a holiday home on behalf of an owner is about more than marketing and occupancy rates, although we do excel at these aspects too!  It is also about caring for your property, making sure that it is properly looked after and treated with the utmost respect. 

Unlike many other agencies, we put no restriction on owners’ own use, so it still feels very much like your own home. 

Importantly, we are local.  Increasingly, owners are opting to let through agencies like ours because the team really understands the area and is on hand to help both owners and guests.  This gives you a lot of advantages, from knowledgeable marketing to always knowing the right trades and suppliers to call on.

Where We Operate

Cornish Escapes manages holiday lets in St Ives and the surrounding area, including Carbis Bay and Lelant.  We have expanded into Mount’s Bay, which encompasses Marazion, Penzance and Mousehole.  On the opposite coastline, we are delighted to manage holiday lets in Hayle’s exciting North Quay development.  Further afield, we have recently taken on lovely properties in Newquay and Padstow.

At the moment, we offer a fully managed service in St Ives, Hayle, Lelant and Carbis Bay.  However, our comprehensive marketing service is available for holiday homes anywhere in Cornwall.  Let’s take a look at the two different services…

Our Fully Managed Holiday Letting Service

In today’s busy world, it’s good to have everything taken care of. Our fully managed service looks after every element of holiday letting, from social media campaigns to our 24-hour call-out service, your guests will never be without essential services.

• Start-to-finish booking system, while keeping you updated
• Reliable owner payment system, with a choice of two contracts: End of stay or Monthly
• Housekeeping: changeovers, property checks and Welcome Packs
• Laundry Service: we are proud of have a on-site laundry and supply our own high-quality and immaculate linen and towels.
• Maintenance: organising and overseeing both routine and emergency maintenance, with a 24/7 call-out service for guests
• Support and guidance with mandatory health and safety (PAT Tests, EICR, Landlord Certificates etc.)
• Key safe management

Our fully managed service costs 12% commission plus VAT.

• Housekeeping liaison: our team will liaise with your chosen housekeeping team to make sure the house is just right, at the right time
