Meet the team

Louise – Director

Along with her husband John, Louise started Cornish Escapes fifteen years ago, when it was lovingly known as Escape to St Ives.  Still very much leading from the front, Louise is always available to guide the Cornish Escapes Team to ensure smooth sailing for guests and Owners alike.

A proud Mum of two, Louise loves nothing more than time with her family, whether that be meals out at local favorite restaurants or family trips to Orlando, Florida.

When it comes to her hometown, Louise says “St Ives is a must for art lovers.  If you get a chance, take in an exhibition at the Tate and visit the home and gardens of renowned sculptor Barbara Hepworth.”

Connor – Analyst

Passionate about the family business, Connor maintains a close eye on the market and changing trends.  He helps the Team identify and implement medium to long term strategies.

Alongside Cornish Escapes, Connor is currently undertaking his Post-Graduate Architectural work placement as part of his Masters degree.

When he gets rare day off, he loves to explore Cornwall with friends, always looking for new hidden coves or upcoming restaurants to enjoy.

Emma – Business Development Director

As Business Development Director at Cornish Escapes, Emma plays a strategic role in driving the growth of both our brand and our owners’ success. Overseeing marketing, performance of the portfolio, recruitment and our sister brand Handpicked Cottages, she brings a wealth of industry insight to every aspect of the business.

With over 20 years of experience in the holiday rental market, Emma’s focus is on understanding evolving market trends and guest expectations, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve. Her goal is simple: to increase bookings for our owners while strengthening the visibility and reputation of our brands.

Outside of work, Emma makes the most of Cornwall’s stunning coastline. Her favourite walk is the St Ives to Zennor route, a challenging trek but one she swears is worth it for the views and a well-earned pint at The Tinner’s Arms.

Vicky – Finance Controller

Vicky has a supporting role behind the scenes controlling the finances and ensuring that Owners and suppliers are paid on time.

Vicky first joined Cornish Escapes in our Administration department before taking some time away to expand her family with the addition of her beautiful baby boy.

When she isn’t checking the numbers, Vicky loves taking her son and dog to explore Cornwall’s many amazing gardens.  Her personal favourites are Trebah Gardens near Falmouth and The Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey.

Alex – Operations Manager

Alex works closely with Louise, as the Operations Manager, looking after the day to day running of the business, our Owners and the integration of new holiday homes.

Alex’s childhood holidays were filled with memories of Cornwall, he took the plunge and relocated from the Midlands over two decades ago.  In his free time he loves nothing more than spending time with his family.

When visiting Cornwall, Alex recommends The Old Quay House in Hayle for a fabulous Sunday Roast. His little one enjoys the play area especially when the sun is shining!

Lynne – Administrator

Friendly, helpful and outgoing, Lynne is the perfect person to look after our guests.  Always happy to help with holiday reservations and enquiries, no query is too small!

Lynne moved to Cornwall from the Wirral twenty years ago with her husband.  She loves travelling throughout Asia and cocktails in St Ives.

With a love of beautiful scenery, Lynne’s favourite spot in Cornwall is the stunning Lizard Peninsula and Kynance Cove. If you fancy a visit, we recommend getting there early to avoid the rush!

Caroline – Property Services Manager

Caroline is passionate about taking care of our holiday homes and works alongside Jane to ensure that guests arrive to a spotless holiday home.

A real family woman, Caroline loves spending time in the kitchen with her three sons and enjoying a glass of wine at the end of a long day.

Caroline also loves taking in a show at The Minack Theatre.  If you are visiting the open-air theatre, don’t forget to take blankets to keep yourself warm

Jane – Property Services Co-Ordinator

As part of our Property Services Team, Jane uses her amazing eye for detail to ensure our holiday homes are ready for guests’ arrivals.  She also arranges delicious Welcome Packs full of Cornish treats so guests’ can enjoy a lovely brew and biscuits after a long journey.

Away from work, Jane loves nothing more than cocktails and brunch with her three daughters tucked away in one of the pods at Porthmeor Beach Cafe and watching the waves roll in over the sand.

If you’re visiting around the festive period, Jane recommends a trip the famous Mousehole Christmas lights.
