Great family days out over Easter

Easter holidays are approaching so what can you get up to in St Ives during your stay!


With Easter fast approaching, we hope you’ve booked your all-important family break! The Easter holidays are all about spending precious time together, and where better than St Ives to relax and recharge? St Ives is perfect for long walks along the beach and exploring the maze of historic cobbled streets. But whatever the weather, we have plenty of ideas to keep both you and the kids entertained!

Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary Cornwall

Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary is home to over 1,200 species, including stunningly colourful birds, rare Red Squirrels, Red Pandas and a plethora of farm animals. As you travel around the park meeting the residents, you’ll also have the opportunity to take part in the Easter Golden Egg Challenge and receive a delicious chocolate prize! The Easter Golden Egg Challenge runs from the 9th – 24th April!

Kidz R Us

Get ready to set sail with Kidz R Us in their latest production of Robinson Crusoe.  Kidz R Us do an amazing job within the St Ives community of getting young people involved in the performing arts. With youth groups behind all elements of the production from acting to lighting, costume design to hair and makeup, you’ll be transported onto the high seas! Come along to support their return to the stage, with performances running from the 12th – 21st April. Check their website for details on how to book your tickets.

Standing Stone Stables

Located nearby in the picturesque Carbis Bay, is Standing Stones Stables which offers a whole host of group horse riding lessons, pony days and hacking trips. Whether you’re an experienced rider or looking to get back in the saddle, there are activities here for all abilities! The Leach Pottery

The Leach Pottery is one of the most influential pottery studios in the world and now is your chance to roll up your sleeves and try it for yourself! If you or the kids fancy getting messy this Easter, The Leach Pottery offer clay workshops bound to unleash everyone’s creative side! Coco Kitchen

It just wouldn’t be Easter without chocolate! Spend a delicious afternoon moulding and decorating your very own sweet treat at Coco Kitchen on Tregenna Place, St Ives’ very own artisanal chocolate shop! To avoid disappointment, be sure to book in advance on their website.

St Ives Surf School

Surfs up! With the weather hopefully getting warmer, it’s time to put on your wetsuit and catch the waves at St Ives Surf School! Whether you’re a Beginner, an Improver, or an Advanced surfer you can learn from their highly experienced team, which includes National Surf Champions! With Paddle Boarding and Kayaking lessons also available, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to take to the sea.

Nemo Underwater Safari

Here’s your chance to experience St Ives Harbour from an all-new perspective. Hop aboard the Nemo Underwater sea Safari, a glass-bottom boat with eight spectacular viewing panels, perfect for spotting all the sealife St Ives has to offer! Whether you head East towards Godrevy Lighthouse or take a trip to Seal Island, this is a fantastic day out for all ages!
